ISLAMABAD, July 27 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were killed and 16 others injured on Saturday after a bus overturned near Loralai district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, a rescue service reportedbingosupplies.

According to the Edhi rescue service, the accident took place early morning on the road due to overspeeding when the passenger bus was going through a mountainous area, resulting in the death of a woman on the spot.

Upon receiving information, rescue workers reached the site and shifted the victims to a local hospital where two other passengers lost their lives during treatment, it added.

The deceased were two women, the rescue service said, adding that seven of the injured were in critical condition.

Reportedly, the ill-fated bus was going from Multan city of the eastern Punjab province toward Balochistan's capital Quetta.■
