Tesla's annual report did not mention the previous proposalcrapsnearmeAnnual sales eventually reached the target of 20 million vehicles.

The company still said in its 2023 Impact Report that it hopes to "replace fossil fuels by selling as many Tesla products as possible" as it did in previous years. However, the automaker removed 2030 sales targets that appeared in both 2021 and 2022 reports.

The 159-page report, released Thursday, covers the company's environmental impact, water consumption and efforts on the part of its employees. Tesla released its first impact report in April 2019, following the example of many S & P 500 companies in providing shiny self-evidence of its sustainability record.
